Where It Began
A sharp memory of engaging in creative activities goes back to the age of 4 or 5. I can still remember sitting in my kindergarten room, at the table, and drawing a deer. I always had phases. There was a house phase, a bulldozer phase, and a deer phase. Later on, as a teenager, I fell in love with the magic of painting and the power of colours. Inspired by my parents, who also painted and introduced me to so many artists, including Picasso and Friedensreich Hundertwasser, I consciously began my own journey with abstract and portrait paintings.
I saw my parents stop painting, even though their interest in art never waned, and I challenged them about why they were not painting anymore. The answer they gave was: There is no time for this anymore. You will see that when you get older. Hearing that, I decided to never let that happen and made it my mission to go through life keeping this creative outlet. And I found my way to prioritise and make time for it. Now, being in my mid 40s, I watch the AI era changing our lives. And once again, I get the feeling that one of the most important things to keep is nurturing my creativity.
”The only unique contribution that we will make in this world will be born of creativity.”

The Journey Continues
Creating hundreds of pieces over the past three decades and continually developing myself as a creative have had and still have a very positive impact on how I approach life.
I live my life the colouresko way. It’s full of positivity, creativity, change, and art.
In 2012, I took my two suitcases and moved from Germany to London. There was nothing wrong with my life; I had a great job, a beautiful flat, and fun friends.
However, I had already left Germany once to live in Spain (carrying only one suitcase), and through this experience,
I discovered how much I love to immerse myself in a different culture. It’s fuelling my creativity, and that has always been central to my life. I am an artist and creativity advocate on a mission to show that everyone can be creatively confident and arsty.
