MY COFFEE TABLE BOOK!

WHAT CAN I SAY? It Takes Time TO CREATE ONE. Get your copy here. (For UK-based readers)

I had this idea to create a coffee table book filled with my artwork in 2023. I intend to inspire myself and others when flipping through these pages positively. In this book, I compile artwork I have created from 2020 to 2024. It focuses on showing the abstract work I have done, as I have made illustrations and canvas paintings, too.

When you flip through the pages, you will see that there are chapters, each starting with Colouresko Your… I want you to feel coloureskoed, meaning full of life, energetic, optimistic. And here and there, I left a little poem, a thought, or tip.

Putting all my artwork together in InDesign, I have not yet tried out how good Canva is with that, was one part of the work, the most enjoyable, I feel. The other part of finding a printer in Germany or the UK didn’t go so smoothly. I am not impressed by how complicated vendors can make even the upload of the final PDF. I did my first test print with a German printer on matt paper. The book arrived very late, and some pages were already damaged. It cost me around 45 EUR. I went back to a UK vendor although this is not a great option to order from when you are in Europe due to Brexit’s high import costs. The upload and set up of my sales or landing page was much easier, however, the shipment went wrong twice and DHL did not deliver, or the vendor forgot to ship it the first time, so I had to double-check with them. After that, my sales page didn’t work, and again, the vendor didn’t notice, and I had to double-check with him. All in all, not a great experience, and I’m looking for a book printer now here in Portugal. Phase III., the final printing has begun.

Phase IV., this will be the most interesting part as I want to sell this book here in physical book and design shops. This whole project makes me feel so excited! Can’t wait to update you very soon on the progress.
